* Note: “150–300 Avg Score Jump” on the SAT page is in SAT points (out of 1600). For the ACT page, use the equivalent in ACT composite points once your team has the real number — do not reuse the SAT figure as-is, since the scales aren't comparable.

What is the ACT
Exam 2026?
The ACT is a standardised test administered by ACT, Inc., measuring college readiness through English, Math, Reading, and Science sections, plus an optional Writing essay. Unlike the Digital SAT, the ACT is not adaptive — every student sees the same fixed-difficulty question set. It is scored on a composite scale of 1–36 and is accepted by all US colleges and universities, alongside many in the UK, Canada, and Australia.

"I scored a composite 35 on my first attempt. EduQuest's intensive modules and personal guidance were absolutely brilliant."
Ananya Sharma · ACT 35"Perfect 36 in Math, overall 34. The structured doubt clearing and mock reviews made all the difference."
Dhruv Mehta · ACT 34The Smartest Path to US University Admission
ACT and SAT complement each other. Students who prepare for one gain an edge in the other. A strategic ACT preparation opens doors to every top US college.
Accepted by All US Universities
Every accredited US college accepts ACT scores. Ivy League, Ivy+ and top state schools all evaluate ACT composite scores equally alongside SAT.
Unique Science Section Advantage
ACT's Science Reasoning section rewards data interpretation skills — a natural strength for Indian students trained in CBSE/ICSE science curricula.
Concordance with SAT
Official ACT–SAT concordance tables let you compare and leverage both scores. A 36 ACT is equivalent to 1600 SAT — the perfect score.
Broader Syllabus = Wider Edge
ACT covers pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry, plus grammar and reading — preparing you more comprehensively for college academics.
Competitive Advantage
Fewer Indian students attempt ACT, making a high ACT score a genuine differentiator in applications to US universities.
Strategic Dual-Test Approach
EduQuest's proven method prepares you for both ACT and SAT simultaneously — one prep investment, two opportunities to shine.

No Negative Marking
There is no penalty for incorrect answers on the ACT. If you run out of time, you should guess on all remaining questions.
Concordance & Admissions

Without the right strategy, even talented students fall short. With the right Top 80 university framework, anything is possible.
Common Questions
Both are accepted equally by US universities. The ACT includes a Science section and is not adaptive — every student sees a fixed question order, which suits students who prefer predictability over the SAT's adaptive format. EduQuest's diagnostic can help identify which format plays to your strengths.
No — unlike some other standardised tests, there is no penalty for incorrect answers on the ACT, so guessing is always better than leaving a question blank.
Most US universities no longer require it. Check your specific target universities' current policy before registering for it, since it adds 40 minutes and a separate fee.
Most universities that accept the ACT also accept ACT Superscoring (combining your best section scores across attempts) — policies vary more than for the SAT, so confirm with each target university.
Grade 10 or 11 is typical, giving time for 2–3 attempts before application deadlines.
Both. In-person coaching runs at our Gurgaon centre; students anywhere in India or abroad can join live online programs with the same curriculum and mock tests.
Minimum 90 hours of coaching, class tests, surprise full-length tests, rigorous mock exams with doubt-clearing sessions, and access to previous official ACT tests for practice.
No — it primarily tests data interpretation and reading graphs/charts under time pressure, not subject-matter science knowledge. Coaching should focus on pacing and data-reading strategy, not content review.
